Erzincan is one of the oldest cultural centers of Anatolia. It is located on the historical silk road route in the eastearn Anatolia Region. The city was dominated by Hittite, Urartu, Pers, Hellen, Roman, and after the Malazgirt Victory, it became Turkish and Ottoman dominated. Erzincan is a tourism center with its natural beauties, geography, rich cultural dishes ,shopping malls and ancient history.
Erzincan has a continental climate.It is snowy in winters but ıt has longer and warmer summer seasons than the cities on the border.However, you can go there any time of the year. Because it is appropriate for winter vacation,too. You can ski or snowboard on the Ergan Mountain with the magnificent view of Erzincan. You can do rafting, kayaking, paragliding or skydiving in Kemaliye and Kemah.You can enjoy eye-catching nature of Erzincan as well. Girlevik is another choice for recreational activities. The waterfall is worth seeing and also you can do ice-climbing on Girlevik waterfall.
Do not return without visiting the city of Altıntepe, Esentepe,Mama Hatun Caravansary, Terzi Baba Turbes and Kemah castle.
